We are the only national charity in the UK that supports and represents people affected by sickle cell disease and to improve their overall quality of life. We aim to educate health carers and other professionals about the condition, but this can only be done through funding. Our society does not discriminate between the types of sickle cell disorders or the ethnic groups concerned.
We are seeking funding to deliver a 5-day residential holiday for up to 30 children, aged 8-17, who are living with sickle cell disease in the UK. The residential holiday will be held at the Pioneer Centre, a multi-activity centre, set near the Wyre Forest in Shropshire.
